Roth Buys Panther Racing’s Infiniti Pro
Series Cars and Equipment
November 5, 2003
Marty Roth announced today that he has acquired all of Panther Racing’s cars and
equipment which won the Menards Infiniti Pro Series 2003 championship.
"I was in the process of negotiating with John Barnes of Panther Racing to run their
car for the 2004 season. John called me the other day and regrettably informed me that
due to their commitment to run a 2 car Indy car program for next season, they had decided
to focus solely on their Indy program and withdraw from the Infiniti Pro Series."
"It is their commitment and focus that attracted me to Panther Racing in the first place
and will make them a number 1 contender in the 2004 Indy Car Series."
"Having recognized the value Panther Racing had created through their R&D over the
past year, I jumped at the opportunity when their Infiniti Racing program went on the market.
Now that I have the equipment, the next phase is building the team. The equipment is just
the first step; it’s what you do with it that counts. I’m after the 2004 championship and everything
has to be right, this is speedway racing."
